Twinkle Sharma: Small coffin is the heaviest

Twinkle Sharma:

Twinkle Sharma !!! 2.6 years little baby’s autopsy has revealed her eyes were popping out, right arm had been cut off, left leg, ribs, nose fractured, and the corpse nibbled by insects and rodents, in some parts down to her bone. She was allegedly killed by men who owed her family Rs 10,000. Her mother is impassive. Her eyes have run dry. Surrounded by women, all she can do is stare at a mobile phone photo of her two-year-old daughter Twinkle.

Age of 2.6 years !!! A little baby !!! Killed by two Muslims in the holy month of Ramzan for revenge of insult that they got from Twinkle’s family. In Ramzan, they are not supposed to drink water in the day time but these two didn’t hesitate to drink blood ||| blood of a human ||| blood of a baby!!!

It is us, Hindus who are sitting quietly even after seeing our daughter fed upon by dogs. Hindu have a candle in their hands to show their descends towards the misdeed of rape. What if we decide to take revenge? We should not forget that, we have a grand history of Ramayana and Mahabharata, where we have seen the insult revenge of a woman|||the complete demolition of kingdom|||

Our heart and mind still

don’t ready to accept this bloody crime but the disfigured corpse of a baby made us accept it. All emotions and feelings are getting dismantled here.

Twinkle Sharma: 2.6 year of age I child just started to walk, the soft legs get tired very soon while walking and ends its destination in mother’s lap. But for this little girl, It was not the same, she had completed her last journey with her legs and got pained of beaten up for 8 hours.

Twinkle Sharma:  2.6 year of age | Child never understand a micron of this world and this baby had faced all the pains, a man can’t suppose to get in the whole life.

Twinkle Sharma: 2.6 years of age | The child has not half of the teeth in her mouth and this baby’s mouth was totally crushed out.

Twinkle Sharma: 2.6 year of age | Child is nourished with baby oils but this baby had an acid bath.

Twinkle Sharma:  2.6 year of age | For a child not complete doze of basic immunization is completed but for this girl whole body is sliced into pieces by two Muslims and later by dogs and finally by doctors for postmortem & investigation.

Twinkle Sharma: 2.6 years of age | Child just treat currency-note as a playing thing and threw here and there but for this baby, that note is a dead letter.

Twinkle Sharma: 2.6 years of age | Child yet to reach the age where could commit any fault, but this baby’s life was taken away from her for no fault of her.

The gruesome rape and brutal killing of 2.6 years old girl have left many of us thinking about what it will take to stop sexual violence. Indian law prohibits the identification of a rape victim by name or appearance without permission from the survivor or their next of kin. They and their families must not suffer any more trauma at the hands of society than they have already undergone. The demised baby has the right to rest in peace and her family has the right to remember her in peace.

This incident forced us to confront the use of rape as a political crime, the weapons of rivalry among the Hindu-Muslim community, the witting material for double-faced media, the dogla identification of so-called secular writers and actors-actress. The biggest question is what, if anything, has changed for Indian women despite years of feminist advocacy and anguished protests against sexual violence.

Stories of sexual violence are common in daily newspapers. If anything, the nation learned of December 2012 of a sexual assault and murder of a 23-year-old woman in Delhi, more such stories making the front page. More rapes are now reported to the authorities, and more cases fast-tracked through special courts. Some get more media attention than others. But most of these incidents slip out of public memory soon after breakfast, poster-show, and the candle march.

The faults in the system:

Police system:

As reported from the family, initially police of local police station was not ready to report the case and also don’t take such missing incidents seriously. But later police said, they had done a door-to-door search if they did it perfectly. Barely 100 meters from the girls’ house, how she was killed.

Judicial system:

One of the accused, Aslam, was arrested previously for allegedly raping his own daughter. He was roaming free despite having a history of assaulting minors.
The Judicial system would ensure the following things for fast justice:
  • Fast-track court
  • The heaviest punishment,
  • Security for the victim’s family.
  • Free movement of accused on bail.

In the recent verdict of Pathankot #JusticeforAsifa, judicially acquitted accused as there is not enough proof of innocent. This is the first time in judicially, the burden to prove accused is on the suspected and not on the investigating agency.  The timing of the verdict is also controversial as it came just after the Aligarh murder case, to divert people’s attention from this case.

Political system:

We have to stop the sacrifices of our children on the altar of political revenge. Politicians support only goes with the vote bank. Some times leaders are also engulfed in the rape business. So we can’t hope any legislation from these politicians.
MPs and state legislatures should legislate some strict regulations so that rapist gets a sooner and appropriate punishment… They can’t do as they already engulf in this business.

Social system:

Culture of son-preference, structures of caste, religion, and sexuality inhibit women’s freedom with fatal consequences. Indian women have been fighting for jobs, education, and political representation.
Seek justice for women and girls in such a culture is little more than melodrama. The real task at hand is to shift attitudes toward sexual violence at the level of the family.  It’s not enough to mourn for rape victims i.e. daughters of our society, it’s more important to accept the fact that the rapists are also society’s sons.

In the past girls and women were not allowed to go outside during The English era and prior to this in the Mughal era too.

Faults in the system

The rulers and their community had very harsh relations with Hindu and they never missed to kidnap or rape Hindus women and daughtersEveryone wants to honor and respect… and honor was not supposed to secure in the region of Muslim. The girls were married at an early age to save them from the bad eye of Mughals.

Now, it’s our duty to make our daughter’s future secure and defensive. For decades, Hindu women were a most depressed class in society. Now they are getting the opportunity and so coming ahead and grasping all top-level roles in governance, corporate and business world. Such heinous crime might make some family stop their daughters to go outside and may reverse all progress of women’s history.  Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao may prove like a complete hollow scheme without the safety of a girl.

Media and it’s TRP:

They are going with their choices. They have there own filters to find any rape news. They have some basic principles…if the victim is from minority class…or victim/rapists are from two different religions …Hindu and Muslims
And finally, incidents have more Mashala…so that can do a TRP business.
They are trying to show one rape is more attractive than others by creating placards. Narrative of rape finally changes into a voice of Religion.

People awareness:

Outside the house, everyone should treat 2.6 years old baby as the daughter of society. If you can’t assume this, your own daughter is not assumed as the daughter of society. If other daughter is not safe, you can’t assume yours safe.
Some secular media is saying that there is no rape with this girl, so for them, I want to say :

Touching a girl without her consent or groping is a crime in Indian penal law. It is a form of sexual assault. Just because you simply touched a woman and did not rape her, does not make you less of a criminal. A woman is no animal. And even an animal doesn’t deserve to be tortured like this. The way her privacy, her right to humanity were violated, that was rape.
