Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who is an Indian cricketer with so many records that any cricketer is happy to match him. Because of which he is known as God of Cricket. He is counted among the world’s best batsmen in the history of cricket. He is also the first player and youngest person to be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. He also received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. Apart from this, Sachin Tendulkar has also been awarded with Padma Vibhushan in 2008. He has made a distinct and indelible mark in cricket which is a source of inspiration.

Sachin was born on 24 April 1973 in a Marathi Brahmin family in Rajapur. His father Ramesh Tendulkar named him after his favorite musician Sachin Dev Burman. Sachin had the qualities of a cricketer from childhood, which his brother Ajit Tendulkar understood well, and he guided him properly. Cricket ‘Dronacharya’ Ramakant Achrekar also gave early knowledge of cricket to Sachin. Sachin also has a brother Nitin Tendulkar and a sister Savitai Tendulkar. Growing up in a normal family, Sachin did his education at Mumbai’s Shardashram University.

During his youth, Sachin used to practice with his coach. His coach would put a one-rupee coin on the stump and the bowler who got Sachin out would get the coin and if Sachin was able to bat the entire time without getting out, then this coin would have been his. According to Sachin, those 13 coins won by him at that time are still most loved by him.

Sachin Tendulkar Career

Sachin initially attended the practice program of the MRF Pace Foundation to become a fast bowler but fast bowling coach Dennis Lillee asked him to focus solely on his batting. After which he started focusing on batting.

After this, at the age of 15, Sachin along with Vinod Kambli partnered 664 runs in the Hares Shield match, in which Sachin scored 320 runs on the basis of his amazing talent, due to this performance, Sachin became very famous due to which He got a place in Team India at the young age of 16 and he started his international cricket career against Pakistan in the year 1989. Sachin had won the hearts of cricket lovers with his wonderful cricket.

In 1990, he scored his first century in Test cricket during England tour, in which he scored an unbeaten 119, after this, Sachin’s performance was the same in the Test matches of Australia and South Africa and he scored many Test centuries. Sachin played his first home Test match against England in India in 1992–93, the 22nd Test of his Test career.

Seeing Sachin’s talent and cricketing techniques, Cricket International magazine gave him the title of Don Bradman, which was later accepted by Don Bradman himself. Seeing the continuous great performance of Sachin Tendulkar, He was also given the captaincy of Team India but he could not succeed as a captain and his own game was also greatly affected by this, due to which he automatically left the post of captaincy. After this, he focused his attention on the game.

Tendulkar scored 15921 runs in 200 Test matches with a batting average of 53.79, in which his best score was 246 * runs and he has 51 centuries and 68 half-centuries to his name. Also took 46 wickets in the bowling as well.

And in the ODI matches, Sachin scored 18426 runs in 463 matches with a batting average of 44.83, in which his best score was 200 * runs, his name is 49 centuries and 96 fifties. Also took 154 wickets for the team.

Despite being such a great cricket player, Sachin is a person associated with the land, today he does an NGO named Apalaya for the responsibility of raising 200 children every year.

Sachin Tendulkar Retirement from Cricket

On 16 November 2013 in his last Test match in Mumbai, he retired from Test cricket by playing an innings of 74 runs. The records made by him are not touched by anyone till date. When Sachin decided to retire from cricket, his fans felt a lot of sorrow, his decision was also opposed, but in December 2012 he decided to retire from the ODI match and on 23 December 2012, Sachin retired from One-Day cricket.

In January 2013, he took retirement from cricket, when this news spread away by the media, his decision broke the heart of many people and he was requested to step back from this decision. But Sachin remained firm on this decision. He scored 34000 runs in his entire career, including 100 centuries, till date no other player has broken this record.

• Sachin’s father was fond of music, so he named him after the famous musician of that time, but Sachin was fond of cricket only.
• He spent the time before gaining fame in the Bandra East’s Saathiya Sahavs Cooperative Housing Society.
• He was very interested in Long Tennis as a child and considers John Mcenroe as his ideal but later he made his career in cricket.
• Sachin’s cricket mentor was “Ramakant Achrekar”, he worked hard with Sachin and made him a successful cricketer.
• Vinod Kambli and Sachin was close friend from their school Sharda Ashram School, both of them started their journey of cricket and reached this height.

Controversies and Sachin Tendulkar

• In 2002, Sir Don Bradman gifted the Ferrari 360 sports car to Sachin in the joy of completing 29 Test centuries. It was alleged that he had forgiven import duty of more than 1 crore by bribing him. For this, a case was also filed in the court and later this amount was paid by him.
• Sachin Tendulkar was a very good bowler, he had a different bowling method, he was an influential bowler. When there was a match between South Africa and India in 2001, Sourav Ganguly accused him of tampering the ball. Sachin was very saddened by this and he was banned for the Test match. The referee was very shocked, at that time Mike Dennis was the referee. There was a lot of controversy and old footage was investigated in the entire case, then the ICC handled the whole case and Sachin proved innocent.
• On his birthday, his special friends and relatives made a party plan. In this party, the tricolor was designed on cake. When he cut the cake in 2010, he was accused of insulting the Indian National Flag. Sachin did not have a permit to go to his house nor had an occupancy certificate, for which the BMC fined him and by paying the penalty the case was over.

Sachin Tendulkar Marriage and Family

Sachin tied the knot with Anjali on 24th May 1995, Anjali is a pediatrician and daughter of famous Industrialist Ashok Mehta.

Their first meeting was at Mumbai airport and then they met again when the conversation between the two started. Anjali was a medical student and she was not interested in cricket. She did not know that Sachin is a cricketer. When they began to meet, Anjali started to get interested in cricket. When they met each other, Anjali was practicing in her medical career and the journey of Sachin’s cricket started.

Their relationship lasted for 5 years, after which they decided to get married. After 2 years of marriage, a daughter was born in his house, which he named Sara Tendulkar. After 2 years, a son was born in his house named Arjun and his family was complete.
